I've been told by a few people that they hate seeing happy couples because it reminds them how shitty their own relationships are. I think there's a direct correlation here. People don't wanna read happy, feel good stuff all the time (unless they are happy and feel good) because it makes them think how shitty their own lives are.

But people do it all the time. Post happy stuff. Think about people magazine. How to better your life. How to lose weight in ten days. How to make your life better. That is all happy stuff and it sells amazingly well.

I normally agree with you Blunty but i cant agree here. If not for 'bad news' then what else is the media for? In all honestly 'good news' is boring. *However, i agree with you about the scare-mongering etc. Just give the bad news and move on...
