This Buddhist nun, of the Nipponzan Myohoji Order, was sitting outside across from the White House, chanting Na Mu Myo Ho Ren Ge Kyo on a beautiful day in April, 2006. We chatted - and had mutual friends in the New England Peace Pagoda - and she kindly allowed me to digitally record her lovely chanting for peace.

Yes it is a nun not a monk. I've met her several times at the Nipponzan Myohoji peace pagoda in Vienna during their annual summer ceremony. She's wonderful as are all the monks and nuns of this order. Na Mu Myo Ho Ren Ge Kyo

Please be mindful of the eightfold paths when chanting Nam Myoho Renge Kyo.
Please listen to the recitation of the Lotus Sutra on jbfoyle youtube titled The Lotus Sutra in its entirety. It is an experience you will cherish.

Na Mu Myo Ho Ren Ge Kyo Ichikawa-anjusan! This is a Nipponzan Myohoji NUN who practices in the DC area. She has been on many many peace walks around the world and in the usa. She is a kind cheerful person.
She was mugged riding her bike on her way to morning prayers in DC. If you see her, do something nice for her. Gassho.
