Giant abbscess being surgically drained. The dr. refused for 7 days prior to draining this to do so claiming "there was nothing to drain" I also had cellulitus going up and around that hip. 6 Antibiotics were tried and nothing worked. In fact just 6 hours prior to this being drained I had an ER dr tell me "there was nothing to drain". I couldn't walk, all they kept giving me were different antibiotics and morphine shots.

  • Was anyone else concentrating on the drainage, yet too distracted by the panties and what appears to be very tight vagina?

  • that dr looks like a bit of a noob, its not a pimple, you don't just keep squeezing around the hole. you have to push from the outer edge of the abscess in so all the infection is drained out

  • @ronnie3704 abscess I&D's don't need to be sterile draped. they're squeezing out infected pus all over the place. what's the point?

  • So sorry you had so much difficulty getting help for this. It angers me when doctor's won't listen to their patients. It is too bad. I have had the same problem(but in my mouth). I have been sick for four months with swelling in my jaw, neck and headaches. Doctors said it was the flu.

  • I had one of these on my ass!! it hurt so bad because they didnt numb the area or give me pain killers!! i just wanted to see how they did it because i couldnt see from my point of view hahah!

  • @Redeyes261 vulva, not vagina

  • nice set of panties to go with the blood...

  • Thats obviously fucking disgusting but yet my mouth is watering, whats that about o,0

  • push from further around the site .seems like the patient knows more about anatomy than you

  • @melosaurus Also! The fact that this was not properly covered with a sterile blue-drape, puss soaked gauze laying next to the patients leg, the patient touching her own puss etc., is why staph aureus travels so very easily in hospitals. The patient probably touched rails, door knobs etc., before washing her hands. I guarantee you this is being done by a PA. Also, I'd never let a patient film anything - most malP insurance forbids it anyway - liability, patient could sue if not done right :)

  • @melosaurus Unfortunately, you are very wrong (probably right on the noob). When dealing with an abscess such as this one, or a case where cellulitis has come into play, you never push or squeeze as a "method" of draining puss as you will only then push the puss/infection into the flesh. Then your're screwed and will need a picc line, Vanco, Maxip etc. The incision should have been at least 3/4 - 1.25 inch, suctioned, packed then changed twice a day to let it heal inside out. Partially text book

  • Just a girl's night out...
