i just did a solid flywheel conversion on my 2001 vw passat 1.9 tdi 130 pd. i would never replace a flywheel/clutch again with a dual mass. they are pure shit!!

@SierraCoz I hear you brother. I got one for my honda and its duel mass I am switching over later when I have the funds. I know this is a vw thing but bad engineering is rampent these days. I never understand why companies waste time reinventing the wheel.

Really good, really helpful and interesting video. It explained so much to me, can I post you a cheque sometime?

It is said that these so called dual mass flywheels fail faster when the car is driven at low rpm's in higher gears (3,4,5) with a lot of throttle. Like when doing 35 mph slight uphill in 4th gear with 50%+ throttle. 3rd gear and 40% throttle is a better choice in such situations to maximize DMF life.

Sounded like Gilligan's Island or Skipper music in the back ground lolololol!
Is this the play a VW dmf is allowed to have when its ok?

@tim1polman Probably not. There is another movie with a dmf with much less play. The new gearbox was installed and the car is driving.
