@nursingstudent1015 however it can be fatal to the woman. during childbirth, it can cause high blood pressure which is dangerous to both the baby & mother. that & the whole pregnancy & childbirth can put so much pressure on a woman's kidneys she may die.

@sondano Just because the woman has diabetes doesn't mean that the baby will get it.Of course there is a higher risk but it doesn't mean it WILL happen. With careful management of their diabetes most diabetic women can have successful pregnancies and healthy babies...
