The product he is using is Meguiars wheel brightner. And he's wrong it cannot be used on aluminum it will stain or etch the rims.

You can use wheel brightner on alminum and chrome.you can spray it on a bug sponge wipe it on the wheel and spray it off,i do it all the time.if you do not know all aspects of a product you shouldn't be using it.i do it all the time.Thanks
