I am apart of business/adventure group called the Mavericks and on April 5th in the middle of the Everglades in Miami, we teamed up with www.WorldClassDriving.com
If you ever get an invitation to a white knuckle ride like this, go for it.
We used a airbase as our "track" which had a 3-mile runway strip.
In the morning we got one-on-one high performance driving instructions from a professional race car drivers.
This is where we pushed a fleet of 5 exotic cars through slow, high-speed cornering, handling, got practice breaking and getting comfortable with the extreme speeds.
My favorite cars were the: * Ferrari 430 Scuderia * Ferrari 599 GTB * Lamborghini Gallardo LP560
We got 3 attempts at hitting 200 mph on our own, while the instructor sat in the passenger seat.
It's all about getting enough speed out of the corner coming onto the straightaway or you run out of concrete to get to 200 MPH.
Let me say, your rational brain starts begging for mercy around 160 MPH... the last 40 MPH were completely out of my comfort zone. Your vision gets blurry as the car fights against external forces.
Near the end of the runway, there is a set of orange cones that is the signal to take your foot off the gas, then another set of orange cones to touch the break and then SLAM them. If you miss the orange cones, you miss the turn to turn back and drive into a swamp with alligators! (So we were told).
Oh yeah, NOTHING can prepare you for when you have to slam the breaks at 200 MPH.
I got a better video coming guys... Let me say a few things:
1. Your rational brain BEGS for mercy around 160 mph.
2. This is one of the most CHALLENGING things I've ever done.
3. NOTHING can compare you for when you slam the breaks at 200 MPH.

P.S. I did this before I sold the DVD's :)
