In August 2011, the Marine Renewable Energy Center at UMass Dartmouth in partnership with MassCEC facilitated the first underwater tidal wave energy test in Massachusetts ocean waters. The demonstration showcased knowledge and innovative technologies from a number of Massachusetts institutions and companies: Free Flow Power's 1.4 meter prototype turbine was used for the testing, and FastCAP Systems utilized the demonstration to test their ultracapacitor as energy storage for renewable power. The demonstration also utilized labor from Massachusetts Maritime Academy, which took the opportunity to train students on marine hydrokinetic technology.

  • Fantastic job

  • A much better option is our 'PATENTED' energy barge. You can see it at our website icare3000 dot c o m It condenses the energy flow and the internal generator (5kW to 50kW) allows much more energy to be produced. Would love to get you set up with a sample for testing if you are linked to a University in the US ;)
