Here's the 'red button special' from the second episode of Stewart Lee's Comedy Vehicle. I was going to post the episodes themselves, but I think it'd be preferable if you went to the BBC's website and watched it on iPlayer so it has the illusion of popularity and a slender chance of recommissioning.

  • Thank you for this.

The problem with iPlayer is that it is only available in the UK. Overseas viewers, such as I, have to rely on YouTube.

  • Amazing.

  • He continues to surprise me with how much thought and brilliance he puts in to everything. He's always spot on.

  • @seansalvador1

I used to think that about Armando but then I watched The Armando Iannucci Shows. He's not as amazing as Chris "God" Morris but he's pretty genius.

  • @MasonicTonic

Iannucci is definitely a brilliant producer and collaborator but i wouldn't put him in the same league as Lee and Morris the same way i wouldn't put Herring in the same league. Brilliant, funny and on the nail but just not a genius like Morris or Lee.

The collaborations between these four and others (Coogan et al) are the best example as comedy as art i can think of, besting the classical comedies in anyone's books.

  • The comedians comedian. The intellectuals comedian.

Whatever pretentious labels you give him he's still the best stand up, in my eyes, of all time.

  • @pmanngw He is not friends with Russell Brand ... at all. He just doesn't dislike him.

  • "Hand" hahahaa

  • @9e0r9i3 He is good friends with Russell Brand.

  • Two of the best British comedians we have today

  • lol It was all puppetry
