Man accused of raping daughter

Drama unfolded at the Kilimani Police Station today when an angry woman stormed the station accusing police of subverting the course of justice. The woman claims the officers are protecting her husband who was arrested on Sunday for allegedly defiling her 13-year old daughter for the past one year.

Why did the Police release the suspect without first charging him? Is it because of lack of evidence or did they believe the girl was lying? Where did the alleged Sh.30,000 come from? Was it meant to be compensation to the mother from the suspect? What was the Police's share out of the whole "payment"? How about an alternative charge of Indecent assault on a female if rape couldn't hold water? God have mercy on Kenya's poor lot who don't have a voice!
