On all the other skits the animals changed their looks but not their habits. Why was this one the exception?

@Cuteblondie1972 That makes two of us. I had nightmares about this frog from this skit from 1975 until 1979 or 1980. Seeing that frog swallow up that fly alone was a scary sight to see. Not mention seeing the frog's teeth(?) when it went bzzzz!

Even though I had nightmares about this animated frog, for some reason, I never feared Kermit the Frog. As a matter of fact, none of the Muppets on Sesame Street ever scared me, not even Harold/Beautiful Day Monster.

When I was a child back in the 1970s, I had nightmares about this animated frog from the age of 3 up to the age of 7. In those nightmares I had about this animated frog, the frog tried to and sometimes did swallow me whole. Strange, but true.
