This is so nice, but... as latinamerican I am, I cannot help to think it's some sort of oversimplification from the people in Europe and North America by tagging the music of a whole and vast subcontinent as "LATIN" How come the music from Brasil would have the same tag as the music from Cuba or Peru? Mexican music is so diferent from Argentinian music and from Chilean music and so on... but outsiders just cannot realize that. Sad oversimplification.

@UHOHYESYEAH Parana is a huge River at the brazilian-paraguay border. Its also a federal state and i heard it also means "River" in a native language. I dont know why we sing it all the time since the lyrics dont seem to tell a story like other songs do.

@haveajerk You are correct I think. I do not know much about Mexican music, but I know for sure that even in brazil each region has its own musical styles. However the same is true if you talk about.. well European music. I guess you can call it like that, but in the end each type from each region is very different. Still its european. So to me its no offense if someone simplifies or categoriezes music into continents or countries.
