Melody On The ASK E, JEAN TV Talk Show 1996
This was one of Melody's TV appearances, this one an effort to uncover more information about her birth mother and famous father. Although she learned during this episode that both her birth parents and all four of her grandparents were deceased, it was what she learned after the show aired that really staggered her. She was recognized by a sibling and contacted. Melody is the biological daughter of the late grande Ole Opry Star Jimmy Cook-who in addition to owning a record company and radio station WJDC in the 1950's recorded with Roy Acuff, Hank Williams Sr and Ferlin Husky. Melody is the 19th of his 21 known children--including two sets of twins and a set of triplets.

This Bruce Springsteen song is one of my favs. I was at, and he performed at, the largest concert ever held in Indiana. It was the Born in the USA tour. Anyway, I see cowboys and wagons going across the prarie when I hear this.
