For the Daughters of Juarez

The Society of the Muse of the Southwest (SOMOS) joins the international effort to focus attention on the victims of feminicide in the borderlands between the United States and Mexico. Its event titled "For the Daughters of Juarez" featured poetry readings, music and presentations about this topic March 28, 2010 at the Mabel Dodge Luhan House in Taos, New Mexico USA. This is a beautiful video. People of the world need to know of this horrible thing that's happening on the border of Mexico. "The women of Juarez are silent, because no one will listen." I pray one day this epidemic of Juarez will soon end.

A good example of why these murders have continued; 476 viewed the reality of murdered women in Mexico, 250,00 have viewed a child burping the alphabet. The downward spiral persists.
