All the great cartoonists were just great...despite whatever personal differences they had with each other or other wise...especially TEX! The gags on these are classic...there aren't any jokes in new cartoons anymore...to me...ROBOT CHICKEN or HARVEY BIRDMAN comes the closest, for me.
i grew up in the 9s. what you folks can vhs lack of quality, i call character. i still prefer chuck. disney sucked, as a person, and his cartoons weren't funny.
@mattybock It was chuck jones who was the prick, not Disney. Jones tried to smear Bob Clampett up until Clampett died just because of sour grapes and that he found Clampett's stuff offensive. Jones actually made Avery co-sign a letter that tried to discredit Clampett, giving rise to the belief that he was a "bad person". Even Bill Melendez thought Jones was a snot-nose.
And why do find it so easy to bash Disney? Cause it's "cool"?
yeah, i know what you mean :) its from an old video cassete so the quality is never gonna be that great anyway, but it should be slightly better quality than the current one, these were only 100 mbs each i think which was the max you could upload back then, now you can go up to 2 gbs each.
watching some of these clips now, i realize when i watched these as a little kid i had NO idea what was going on. i watch them today and i find myself cracking up. i have to rewatch all my childhood cartoons now!haha
