you do not call them mongoloids or mentally retarded. it is people like you who oppress those who need empowerment. these terms and the treatment attached to them are no longer socially acceptable.

and when you label a deaf-mute as a special child, you are overlooking the fact that he has his own language, his own culture and his own way of being. he has the right to be Deaf just as you have the right to be hearing. allow him to be different and to grow in his own way of being.

if you review the video starting at segment 1:30 and listen carefully to the narration, you will hear this message: "These children are FORMERLY given labels like ... (the terms that caused you to react strongly) ... but KINDHEARTED people call them SPECIAL CHILDREN".

that should tell you that i am not calling them names, nor am i in any way oppressing them.

obviously you're among the kindhearted people. i give thanks and praise to the Lord for that.
