A closer look into our grocery shopping. We do breakfast, lunch and dinner for 1 week for a family of 4 with a budget of $100. That's a monthly food budget of $400. With trips to the 99cents only store and Trader Joe's it can be done healthy too. Take a look and leave a comment, heck hit the "like" button too while you're at it.

Keys To Food Shopping

Always have a grocery list. This will help you stick to your plan and your budget! Remember to keep track of what you are spending, if you do not have enough then you need to put things back. Planning your meals out ahead of time is gonna save you a lot of money. Try to make one meal stretch for 2 days. Remember that we are trying to save money by reducing our shopping bill. Accomplishing this will give us more to attack our debt with. Being content is a huge key to success. Do not eat out if you cannot afford to budget it. Cooking at home and taking a lunch will keep you on track to reach your monthly food budget goals. Have fun with your food and be creative with your menu.

  • That was my goal. To eat $400.00 monthly for a family of four or $300.00 for a family of 3 ( Me, Fiance, and baby girl who's 2 yrs old)

  • @XChildGoddessX awesome!! We actually come under that now some weeks. Not always, but it happens now and then. If that's the case the last week we will really splurge on some good eats lol. Thanks for watching.

  • You are SO lucky that your 99cent store carries produce! Ours has food, but the closest it gets to fresh is some frozen stuff. Wish they had produce, but I'm grateful for what they do have. Your little guy's a cutie. :)

  • @808losers you mean yours does not?? Well, I guess we are lucky! Anyway you put it though, it's a great place to get some amazing deals, huh? Thanks for tuning in!!

  • Wow! Great job! That's awsome you are able to eat so healthy and organic on such a tiny budget! Have you guys started using coupons at all yet? That will help you put alot too! You can email the companies you buy from most often and let them know how much you love their products and ask if they will send you some coupons and ninety percent of the time they will! And high value too, some will even send you free product coupons!!

  • @crazymommylife no way!!? Man we got to try that now!!!! Yes, we try and eat very healthy. it used to not be that way. I lost 30lbs!!!! Nuts, i know. Thanks for the tip and we will have to try that!

  • In Canada our 99 cent stores don't have produce but boxed stuff that is nasty

  • im a single mom with 4 sons.. eldest is almost 17.. then 13.. 10 and 8.. i spend no more than $150 a month.. you need to use coupons with a sale..i pay 50 cents for a box of cereal... and go to the local meat department and ask them what time do they mark down their meats... most of the time its either early in the am or late in the evening... i commend your efforts to eat healthy..

  • excellent video.

  • What store is this that has items for 99 cents?

  • Your Trader Joe's rocks, I can't find anything like that variety here in CA.

  • I generally have about $25 a week to work on for food but I have just me to feed. It isn't easy to eat decent and healthy with so little, especially in my area where there is no cheap places to shop.
