"Shut Up And Sing" travels with the Dixie Chicks, from the peak of their popularity as the national-anthem-singing darlings of country music and top-selling female recording artists of all time, through the now infamous anti-Bush comment made by the group's lead singer Natalie Maines in 2003. The film follows the lives and careers of the Dixie Chicks over a period of three years during which they were under political attack and received death threats, while continuing to live their lives, have children, and of course make music. The film ultimately presents who the Dixie Chicks are as women, public figures, and musicians.

Not Ready To Make Nice is my favorite song of all time. What natalie says is right. when country radio stops playing their song, i realize pop radio start noticing them. DIXIE CHICKS 4EVA.... Bush dumb as hell. Who likes war? not me, not everybody. DIXIE CHICKS HAS THE BEST COMEBACK EVER THUMBS UP WITH ME, AND PLEASE NOT SHUT UP AND SING, CONTINUE WHAT YOU DOING.....

Not a fan of the Dixie chicks or Country Music for that matter, But I vow to go out and buy some of their CDs now, not because I like their music, but because I believe they were wronged in a country that is supposedly all about free speech. Funny thing is, a lot of the idiots who went along with the Ostracism of the Dixie Chicks, actually agree with that point of view now.

They were right all along, just like the protesters in London. All over Europe people were against the Iraq war, everybody knew Bush wanted to invade Iraq for some other reason than WMDs or to protect the USA. While this was happening, people all over the USA were bashing the DC,just like they bashed the Europeans because they were against the war. It was that kind of attitudes that made the world and USA traditional allies start to think of America as a crazy and brainwashed country.
