i remember watching this and being so pissed since it cost us the game by essentially moving tennessee 15 yards closer and especially stopping the clock since they kicked the field goal with only a few seconds left

Had Tennessee been on the business end of this call, then subsequently lost the game, Vol fans would still be bitching about how they really won the game; despite what the final score says. Just like last year's LSU and North Carolina games. Tennessee may have got this one, but 2 weeks from now, Florida will make it 7 in a row against Dooley's Big Orange Train Wreck. Get ready for more disappointment, Vol fans.

@bturner20 Yeah, that's about all you know....because he still didn't catch it.  And I think that gesture you described, is similar to the one the refs did when Wilhoit kicked that 50-yarder through the uprights, after Wade didn't slap Baker, because I was there. Typical Gator fan mentality.

@bturner20 I don't care if you were at the game or not. That has nothing to do with whether he caught the ball. He did NOT catch the ball, as anyone with eyes can see. That answer was about as brilliant as me saying I was at the game in 2004, therefore, Jonathan Wade really didn't slap Dallas Baker. Gaffney's "catch" would not be a catch at ANY other place on the field, at ANY other point in the game. I've seen hundreds of balls held longer than that, called incomplete.
