  • @immadodgeguy they use what is called a "Mud Motor" that is actually driven by the drilling mud pumped into the drill string, rather than powering the string from the drill rig. In small wells, they can off set the pressure of the drill rig on the drill string.

  • This process has been perfected and will produce enough natural gas from the shale deposits to supply the US for another century. Those landowners in the Eagle Ford in South Texas will earn extraordinary royalties from their production.
