@212alc: agreed. At the end the phrase "its the computer working not you" would apply to the scanner itself too. Even if the book took hours to scan with a slow automatic system you could sleep while it worked.
But I must say this whole project is incredibly cool.
is this issue that an automatic page turner would be faster, or is it more of a laziness issue? it seems to me people would prefer an automatic page turner so that they do not have to perform the repetitive action of turning the page themselves.
It wouldn't be much faster, but it would let you do something else while the book is scanning.
I'd love to have one with or without it, but if I knew how to make an auto page turner I think it'd be worth it.
