Artificial Discus Fry Nursery

this set up is SICK - genius! sad thing is I can't set it up like that, I don't have any more room, I just lost my wrigglers / fry a few days ago, a bit devastated

Don't give up. Artificial raising is terribly time consuming. Why not try to parent raise them?

I really like ur set up its very neat and very intellegent to do... But y such a big tank...?

The large tank is to increase the water volume so that the water parameters and temp in the tank won't fluctuate. Another reason is that "dilution is the solution" to alot of nutrient issues. A larger volume can "absorb" more waste products before the water gets toxic. But this shouldn't be a problem if you do daily partial waterchanges. Lastly, the xtra space lets me raise up to 8 spawns simultaneously... which actually happens quite often in my fish room. Thanks!

@ventralfins Thanks, I did use the parents approach, but unfortunately they're not used to taking care of their young yet... they're all dead now hahahah i hope they spawn again, this'll be their 3rd batch if ever
