liverpool fans have always talked fucking shite. When i was about 7 years old, I ended up following United whilst every other kid was supporting liverpool based on this argument 'my uncle says united are shit, liverpool have won more trophies than you ever could..now what?' and i heard the same argument for the next 18 years....now what?

exactly, manchester united has become a brand, like a clothing line or a product on the shelf in a supermarket.
Liverpool focuses a lot on giving back to the city and community. so you're right, Liverpool is not a big brand but we're a great football club with a pedigree in england and europe. we have loyal supporters second to none!
