Hey, I'm glad your restaurant is ok. But I have to say, not a very "Dramatic" video. With a title like "EARTHQUAKE" I was expecting the tables and chairs to at least start moving. The stars moved alittle...but I wasn't like WOW...and EARTHQUAKE! It could have been the wind or a ceiling fan causing them to sway for all I knew.
But again...glad your store is ok. :-)

I recall being on 10th floor of Shinkong Department store by Taipei main station back in 2003 when an earthquake hit. The missus and I mossied to the stairwell and watch the locals keep on shopping.
Where's your Subway in Taipei?

Oh the AC just kicked on..
It's hilarious reading some of the comments on hear. No, it's not the 'wind' or the 'AC'. For one thing this happened in the middle of the night when all windows are closed and the front security gate is down, so it's impossible to wind to come through the store. Second, the AC is turned off at night, but in any case when the AC is on the fan blows continuously. And finally, neither the AC nor the wind has ever been strong enough to get our hanging lamps to sway; try it yourself and see.

I can hardly see any movement!? I kinda live across the street though, from this Subway near Xingtiangong (right?).. a 2 minute walk. I was making a phonecall at the time of the quake. It was scary.

Yeah, it apparently wasn't that big down on the ground floor, but up on the 5th floor at home it seemed pretty damn big. But even there the actual movement wasn't that big, it's just a bit disconcerting to have your whole building moving no matter how small the movement is.
