Hey guy's today I am going to show you the first step into getting a home media center, these are the applications. To begin, I reccomend a program called Boxee. This program allows many media files to be organized and easily accesses with a wii remote, Apple Remote, iPhone and many other remotes. This program allows the use of Netflix Instant streaming, Music Programs such as Pandora, and the Ability to watch TV shows from third party venders such as Fox, HBO, Cartoon Network, etc. This program is a very well organized program and is also great for sorting your media files. Boxee is a great free program for Mac OSX, Windows and Linux (Ubuntu). To download this program click this link: http://www.boxee.tv/signup keep in mind that you do have to sign up however it's free and definitely worth it. If you are uninterested in Boxee and just want Movies you could try a program called VLC: http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ however, it's not as easy to use and you can't use a remote to easily control your Movies, Music, Pictures. If you only want a media center for a specific Windows/Mac files use either Windows Media Center or FrontRow. I would reccomend that you use Boxee due to the ease of use and other features.
