The trick is to change to the outside line as you enter the corner

Brings back good memories! Wasn't there a 4-lane cross over piece where you could make a figure 8 type layout?

What no "Jam Car"?

My friend and I combined our TCR sets; we had four terminals and miles of track. Four terminals allowed us to break the course into sections; we used rubber bands to depressed the triggers; we elevated the straight away sections to make ramps and the cars would do two and three foot jumps. It took up about half the space in our basement. Man , those were the days!!

Got a Tyco Command Control set for Christmas '77. Changing lanes meant losing a car length, rear tyres and track had to be kept spotlessly clean to work properly, and you could just tape the trigger down and the cars would circulate ad nauseum without flying off. Years later I got into AFX and Tyco slot cars, then more recently 1:32. Tyco Command Control bodyshells fit HP-7 and some Magnum 440 X2 chassis.

cars are kinda slow, just busted my dads out. the red firraro and the blue nissan, only 2 cars that still worked, but hella fast.
