Galloway is wrong, if Pakistan had no nukes, u s would have invaded them by now, but they know pak will nuke them if over pressured, so nukes as a deterrent is definitely right and a good shield.

Slightly different line from what CND et al. argued in the 1970s and 1980s. Remember? Pressure the NATO nuclear powers to disarm, and at the same time, completely ignore the Soviet Union's stockpiles.

I think the caller has a point although isn't able to present it well. Clearly there hasn't been world peace since the invention of nuclear weapons but there hasn't been any mass invastions like there has been throughout history. I think its less likely that another Hitler will try to conquer the world. Without guns its far easier for gangs to pillage villages like they did in medievil times.
