Watch this video to see mainly how to configure the software in order to do the update and scanning at a time specified by you.

Schedule minimized scan job instead of invisible scan mode.
If the scan starts in invisible mode you don;t know what is happening with your computer so it's best NOT TO CHOOSE INVISIBLE SCAN.

i heard this program is good and better than microsoft essentials .. .what about . . ESET NOD32 ? has any one tried that AV .

@MrModel909 In my opinion Microsoft Security Essentials is better than Avira Antivir. I have installed lots of computers with MSE and also with Avira Antivir and MSE has a better protection against malware. On the same computer I would install MSE & AVG or MSE & Avira Antivir. When removing viruses disable AVG/Antivir in order to let MSE do the job.

Because NOD 32 hogs the computer I do not use it and I do not recommend it.

It is also a good idea to have a firewall installed on your computer.

Im a noob, but everytime i download this it says windows cannot locate this file. Any help

@OiMakeRandomVideosO You have to look for avira_antivir_personal_en on you computer. If not look for file in the download folder. If the search does not work try Everything from voidtools. Be sure to check "show volumes". After you install this application do a search after avira and you should have it. If not it means that the file is not on your computer. Try using another browser: Chrome, Firefox or Opera.
