OK PEOPLE these are my TOP list of horror movies these are the moves I THINK are the best, not really including any remake (Im not saying i dont like them) but the oldies are the goodies lol. I know i probably dont have some that i should have named like THE POLTERGIESE, SILEND HILL, DEAD SILENCE, and so on, thats because im going to make another list part 2, but let me know which one is your favorite that you dont see in my list.

This may be a shot in the dark, but has anyone ever seen a certain older movie that involves a cursed oil portrait of a man that telekinetically throws objects (i.e. knives) at people who are in the same room with it. From what little of the movie I saw as a kid, it seems the portrait was driving its owner stark raving mad. Seemed like a pretty solid horror film.

@chris241289 In my opinion, Stephen Kings "IT" is the best horror movie ever done but you've probably already seen it. I also liked "The Messengers" and "The Strangers" both quite creepy and are good if not looking for the obvious ones. And also the original "Dawn of the Dead" ive seen more or less every zombie film and its the best.
