...continued... Kuk Sool Won was founded sometime in the 1950's by COMBINING martial arts that already existed but supposedly banned. So the question is did THOSE styles exist or not?
I've been told that there was a movement among Korean martial artists in the 50s to unify the styles but it didn't work out. In Hyuk Suh was pretty quick to tell people that his was the "one true". But sources on this are hard to find as well. Hyuk Suh has a pretty good hold on Kuk Sool Won's image.

So heres a question, why would u use a sword in the inverted style, over the traditional way of holding it?

You're welcome. I'll send you mail later on.

@HaedongKumdoIsaLie That was all some very interesting reading. I'm still not sure I understand all of it or all of my questions got answered. Perhaps we could continue this over private messaging?

I've been reading some interesting comments regarding history here. I've known for a while that In Hyuk Suh's history on his Kuk Sool Won website is pretty skewed and inaccurate to say the least. Let me see if I understood the exchange well enough to accurately sum it up.
Japan and China both occupied Korea. At one point, the more barbaric parts of Korean culture were banned by Japanese. Some claiming one of those to be Kuk Sool Won, which didn't exist...continued...

@MulthybridGodKyrNair Que pureza?
