Thank you for this I'm a proud France cosplayer and we have been called "racist" and "greedy" or "selfish"and "disgusting" and if they cosplayed as someone such as Belle who is not asain we would not call them "racist" or "disgusting". Sorry for kind of my own rant here and btw awesome cosplay!

Actually way back when white people you to 'black up' and pretend to be black people - this was classed as being racist - SO i can understand where they are coming from...HOWEVER not all anime characters are based on asian people...also cosplay is "costume play" - or "dressing up"...technically dressing up as a star trek character is "cosplay"...so to me cosplay is just to show appreciation and isnt racist cos your not mocking an asian you are pretending to be a character

Hetalia Characters are supposed to look like they might be from the countries the represent. If u look at original hetalia drawings u will see that all of the males have square jaws! (and some female characters)
