A Baked Alaska is a delicious alternative to store bought ice cream cakes. Layer a brick of ice cream with pound cake and meringue and bake it in the oven. It is soooo fabulous and everyone will enjoy this at your next party... not just the kids!

I use my own recipe for the pound cake, which you can see the video here: http://youtu.be/Qk-5FsESJwQ.

  • Doesn't the ice cream melt though when you bake it

  • @pokadotz911 No...the meringue and the pound cake insulate it while it's in the oven. That's the fun of it...LOL
