MIKE HUCKABEE: I have a better idea than the nonsense of that 66,000 page tax code that costs American businesses $250-500 billion a year in compliance costs, thats choking the life out of small business. Its a shame that the Republican Party used to be the champion of the small business owner, and we need to be it again because the fact is 50 percent of our jobs come from there, 80 percent of our new jobs, and even big business starts out as small business. Most big business rely on the supplies from small business. And today, the reason many small business owners find it hard to survive and compete is because the competition that they face the fiercest is not from their competitors, its from their own government with excessive taxation, regulation, and the threat of liquidation. We can change that. Id like to be the President that puts the IRS out of business, nails the going out of business sign on their front door, and takes these tax forms like this [rips up tax forms].
