I am hoping to pick up a 84 this weekend. .and work on it all winter adding custom things to it. I'd really like to drop in a 4.3 v6 or a 3.8 or even a 350TPI.. But I don't want to loose much MPG as that is why I bought it. And I would love to come to one of your shows.

@ThePunkcowboy def not, its a v8 all day, no 6's sound like that

Pretty cool I never knew fieros had such a following. I learned to drive in a 84 fiero it had a lot cooling issues but I knew what cause them. Why did GM design it that way? I always liked the body style but I'll take my fox stang anyday as far as 80's cars go

@FredsukzBalls At what shows? Fiero shows? Or American Muscle shows? Because American muscle shows ALWAYS end up that way. Shit, in the late 80s they prototyped fieros with supercharged engines that were outrunning vettes (sort of like the popular swap). Chevy said NO! because that would put shame to the vette name.
I believe it's the "ego" of the other v8 owners that wouldn't let an equally fast 6 cylinder (or faster) step in and take some fame. I see the egos everywhere I go. Haters :)

3800's easily pull 30+ mpg and even some corvette LS engines are over 30 mpg ;) I recommend driving it a while before heading into a swap right away, its alot of work.
