  • Please consider deleting this video and uploading one that has sound.

  • @steelenathan It has sound. It's low. The old tape was 20 years old when I copied off of it. It's fortunate it played at all.

  • cool but I can barely hear anything.

  • Tape source was over 20 years old when I recorded stuff off of it, and it was originally played hundreds of times. It's lucky it played at all all these years later. Turn your speakers up :)

  • Sears used to sell music?

  • They still do as far as I know. I haven't been in a Sears in years (rhymes). There is an electronics section with games, movies, and music.

  • Thanks for uploading. As someone that is in the process of transfering old videos from 10,11 years ago let alone over 20 I understand how difficuit it is to preserve them.

  • Sears actually had a candy shop...you could buy candy by the pound

  • is that a newspaper dress??? lol

  • Waiting for your change of HEAAART....

  • Guess what, 22 years later that "Portrait Record" still sounds superior over the Portrait Cassette & Compact Disc! 220 years from now, the record will still be the most intact and playable medium out of the 3. Why? A record is made of just the PVC resin (vinyl) so it's archival for hundreds of years in room temperature. CDs and cassettes are made up of layers of different junk that will oxidize over time and render their contents susceptible to chemical damage.
