What a wonderful talented beautiful person Joan Baez is. She had been an inspiration to many in the world, and is well respected over the entire world. Her messages of peace, love, understanding and kindness have touched many...but I see from the comment below, they have not touched everyone. Ignorance can be a powerful tool.

That's sheer ignorance on your part, I'm afraid. Joan has spent virtually every part of her adult life exemplifying the words she speaks! Do some research...get real information before merely mouthing the talking points of an establishment bent on defaming those who speak truth to power. Joan went to jail for her beliefs, she has traveled the world giving of herself, her talent, her money in support of the vulnerable and oppressed. What's Hannity, Limbaugh, et al done lately but blow hot air?

She was a war protester,...and I agree the Vietnam War needed a quick ending. Her music helped to send that message. Congress,..as usual does not listen to the people. I'm conservative and this another failure of govenment 'flucky' policies.

I see Joan with Cindy Sheehan. I see Cindy clutching a petrochemical bottle containing designer water. 10 minutes in ones hand, forever in a landfill, Joan sang.

I recall an Army officer I knew who played Joan Baez records when he returned from Vietnam. The Army would not let him play them on base. He just rented hotel rooms (with Army money) at private hotels. I forget the fellow's name. I met him when he was a ROTC instructor at the University of Georgia.

    Amazing.
