Co-author Dave Logan identifies five tribal stages: Life sucks, My life sucks, I'm great and you're not, We're great and Life is great - and shows how they can be recognized by the language members use when they communicate. Logan explains how tribal leaders can elevate the people in their organization to the next level.

Great book, but this presentation was odd -- the exaggerated inflection and distracting bouncing balls detracted from it. Dave Logan is a great speaker, if you have the chance to see him live, seize it. A key lesson is that many people will never rise beyond level three -- and people at the first three levels take energy. Your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to stay at level 4 or 5 so that you generate energy and an environment conducive to breakthroughs.
