basically what he means is when you hit the drum, leave your grip loose so it bounces back. then when you apply more pressure to each stroke the stick will bounce quicker.

@just6822 you will get it like he says loosen your grip then wen you hit the drum put presure onto the stick it will bounce hope this helps

I dunno what's wrong with me. buzz rolls and single strokes are really easy for me but for some reason I can't get the speed or rebound necessary to do double strokes and paradiddles
I personally think this section should be covered in more detail, because it was actually pretty confusing for me.
