Because I couldn't upload yesterday, I'll upload two today. The next one will be up later.

I take a deep breath and open the door. I wait for a second to see if I can hear my dad. Everything is absolutely silent. Nothing is making a sound, but for some reason, this silence is twice as loud as shouting. It means my dad isn't here and I don't know where he could be.
"Dad?" I whisper. There is no answer. I carefully walk into the hall, trying to make as less sound as possible. If my dad is here he's probably sleeping and I don't want to be the one waking him up.
"I don't think he's here." Joe whispers.
"He could be sleeping." I say and I walk to the living room. There is no sign that my dad has been here since last night. I check every room in the house, but he is nowhere to be seen.
"Maybe he's still at his work." I say, walking back to the living room. This place is a mess, there are bottles everywhere.
"I should clean up." I sigh.
"Why? It's his mess, he should clean it up." Joe shrugs.
"It's my responsibility." I tell him and I start collecting the empty bottles.
"No, it's not. It's his! He's the parent, not the other way around." Joe says, taking the bottles from me.
"Well, someone has to clean this house and I don't see my dad doing it." I say.
"I still think it isn't fair." Joe mumbles. I ignore him and continue cleaning. Suddenly a envelope lying next to the TV. I pick it up and turn it around, so I can read the address. There is absolutely nothing on it.
"What's that?" Joe asks me curious.
"I don't know." I mumble. I open the envelope and look inside. There is nothing there.
"It's empty." I say confused and I hand Joe the envelope. He looks inside and shrugs.
"Your dad probably wanted to post a letter or something but forgot." he says and he drops it on the table.
"I don't think so. If there was a letter, he'd ask me to write it for him. There must be a letter here somewhere." I say and I start searching the room.
"Joyce, leave it, it's just a letter." Joe says and he stops me.
"But what if it's important? A bill or something? One dad forgot to pay? I have to find it to take care of it!" I say and I want to start searching again but Joe sneaks his arms around my waist and pulls me close to him.
"Stop trying to be your fathers mother. Taking care of yourself is hard enough, you shouldn't try to take care of him too. He's a grown up man, he should handle things himself." Joe says.
"But he can't, that is why I have to help him." I mumble.
"No. He is screwing up and you should not be the one that cleans up after him. He should take some responsibility and right his mistakes."
"But he won't Joe, that's the problem. It's the alcohol, he's nothing without it." I say and I push him away.
"Sweetie, maybe you should get some help." he says. I half expect him to pull me back again, but he doesn't and I just start cleaning and searching again.
"Are you ever going to listen to me?" he asks softly after a couple of minutes. I look at him. He's sitting on the couch staring at me, carefully studying every move I make.
"No, is there something wrong? Why are you staring at me like that?" I ask him, suddenly feeling very self-conscious.
"'Cause you are the most beautiful thing I've ever seen." he answers me smiling. I blush and walk over to him.
"You're not so bad yourself." I whisper in his ear.
"You remember what I said during first period?" he asks me, pulling me onto his lap.
"You said a lot." I laugh.
"I'll give you a little hint, it had something to do with self-control." I think for a moment and then it hits me.
"We are all alone now." I say smiling.
"Yes we are." he agrees with me.
"So are you going to stick to your promise?" I ask.
"Depends..." he says teasing.
"Depends on what?"
"On you." he says grinning.

I spent like the last two days reading this story. One word: AMAZING. I loved all of it. Definitely worth it. I can't wait to read more.

I have a feeling that letter is actually important. And Joe and Joyce are so cute together. I wonder what's going to happen next....

I feel personally offended.

The chapter was amazing, bladeeblabla you know what i'm gonna say, where's the letter OOOoooOOOoooOOOh bladeeblabla I think the letter is saying something like, I'm leaving take care of yourself I'm a bad father bla bla bla...

I can't believe you let Jana write your translation chapter after asking me to do it. You suck!
