  • Thanks to the " Bau Chi" in every conflict the world gets a constant reminder of wars true face. Here's to those who came back and those who didnt. Its a shame though that to many its just war porn, maybe when scratch and sniff images are invented things will change...

  • @FmrUSMCRnTX You were still heroes.

  • Thanks for posting this. The images are haunting, particularly for those of my generation. God Bless & Keep, all who served and RIP all who gave their lives there, and the hundreds of thousands who were maimed for life while serving and loving their brothers in the hell of the Vietnam War! We will never forget!

  • I purchased this Book 1985, still go through it now, apart from the small index in the back there is no information about the pictures, yet the pictures scream so much to the reader. Tim Page has the eye to capture the perfect picture, the one that stick in my mind is 'moment of death for 2/3 Marines' and there in front of you are 2 soldiers falling to the ground after being shot, Tim Page is filming it about 6ft away

  • They lost the war because they did not want to win it!! Tim is a hero.. Respect

  • they piss, moan and whine that they lost the war because of the pics that were taken.

what about todays wars when every troop has a camera or a phone and can put images on you tube?

will that lose the war this time?

or is it just that some wars are unwinable and politicians should never be trusted with the lives of any soldier sworn to defend thier country?

  • Allways thought his pictures from the Nam book would make a inspiring video with bob Dylans Like a Rolling stone. I love how he captured the innocence of the soldiers the horro they and the Vietnamese faced and the toys of war at the same time. He allways put a human face in the pictures from a simple pic of a man on an APC to the terror of the vietnameese girl from the firebase that was over run. all very touching and tragic.

  • Mr. Page is a true master photojournalist.

  • Read Mr. Page's book as a young disillusioned 19 year old kid. All I did was smoke pot and "jam out". I left on a lil trip to ol' Mexico and brought my cheap film slr camera w/ me and ended up falling in love w/ photography. I came back wanting more out of life. I couldnt relate to anybody though untill I picked up Page's bk(page after page). I finally found someone I could relate too and it helped give me a sense of direction. Thanks Mr. Page!!
