@strainmeister The prisoner, not prisoners, never escaped. The door got jammed and it took hours for the prison staff to get it open when it reached the prison.

Hello chrissypp23. Thanks for that. I am from Glasgow Scotland and I am Scots Irish. There was a similar incident in the 20s in Glasgow when two IRA men were being transported to a gaol. On the way to the prison, there were two men who hid in manholes !!! They appeared and shot the police van and the prisoners escaped! This is our version of the smashing of the van. My very old friends mother hid them in a house for three months and they were set free...cheers mate.
