HAHA i was playing this game recently and i was awarded a penalty shot AFTER THE GAME WAS OVER!!! i lost by like 10 goals to a buddy and all of the sudden it went to a penalty shot after his team was done celebrating the win, lol

i finally tossed my Sega Genesis and NHL96 this past summer...
greatest game of all-time.
in NHL93 or NHL94 for SNES, you could score when you were awarded a penalty shot, before the actual shot.
just shoot the puck into the open net before the screen changed.
this seems to be a similar glitch...

This happened to me also...I shot the puck at the net after the period was over and the siren went off. Crazy.
