@MrSimpsondennis It can't. Skill Drain can only negate the effects of Face-Up monsters. While an effect monster is in the hand, it is therefore unaffected by Skill Drain. And since the Special Summon is carried out as the method of getting the monster onto the field, it's not negated. The summon gets it's "title" or "type" when the process is being started, and so must continue under that summon type's rules until the summon is either successful or negated.

@MrSimpsondennis Actually, it DOES work, and here's why:
When a monster is being summoned, it's own effect does not start working before it is summoned successfully. That is why a monster like Jinzo can't defend itself against traps that negates summons.
When Malefics are being summoned, they're already affected by whatever cards are on the field. And since Skill Dragon negates the effects, all drawbacks from the Malefic monsters will be removed before they're even considered summoned.

everyone knows that. no no no u destroyed malefics. if the world doest what youve done to your deck it will be a big big sin.remove wyvern, masked, metal and insert some real stuff like malefic rainbow, malefic cyber end and stuff like that. forbidden chalice would be a great idea too

@devyboo2 TRUTH Dragon isn't in the movie pack. Sin Stardust and Truth are from JUMP.

@TheHoodedGravy it's also in the movie pack, but i wouldn't run it because it contradicts the ratio of malefic/ malefic necessary cards. the Malefic synchro is better to run.
