The films tells the story of a brutal 72 hours in the life and death of the Muslim refugees in the town, which had been declared a United Nations safe area, under the protection of Dutch U.N. peacekeapers. They were taken by the Bosnian Serbs, executed in the fields, schools and warehouses in the area and buried in mass graves. Srebrenica is the Guernica of our time, and a story of the humanitarian wars being waged by the UN and NATO throughout the world. It was the worlds first "United Nations safe haven", a town the international community pledged to protect, then utterly failed to do so. The resulting massacre has been called a crime against humanity, even genocide. The fundamental theme of A Cry from the Grave" is how, at the end of the 20th century, we deal with a such a bloody crisis at the heart of Europe. Is a judicial resolution possible for such a war crime, and what can international justice offer the victims of the massacre?

@brokenskull192 Salam Alaikum. I don`t agree with you. Even if you eliminate all religions, there will always be differences between individuals and groups (e.g., nations). In fact, most wars in human history have been fought over resources, if not all. Yes, people sometimes use religious ideologies to justify their wars; however, that does not imply that without religious there would be no wars. Therefore, human kind should learn to live with each other`s differences.

I cried while watching this. I can't believe such atrocities were happening while I was having a happy childhood. I have no idea how these people have been able to survive this. It takes superhuman strength to live normally after losing your family in such a horrible way.

The UN has been useless. 7,500+ people died. The fuck did UN do?

Justice sometimes is not to judge and do a lot of process but to prevent situations like this . What serbs are this is very known not only in Serbrenica but in Croatia and the last in Kosovo . Shame on ALL OVER THE WORLD that doesnt do nothing helping to live this poor people killed by BALCAN SERB BUTCHERS!!!!!

i feel for all the bosnian muslims women chilred and men affected by what has happened. im only a 18 year old from london, all i can do is pray to allah that justice will be served for the sake of our memories. and inshallah this goes down in history... and all the muslims that died will never, ever be forgotten. paradise they deserve, they died as souldiers. ='(
