@RVhypertrophy - They decided to pursue their own label "Beat The World" so they could market their music and other friends music (The Upsidedown etc) the WAY they want and HOW they want. As for 100% commercial success, they're not necessarily aiming for that. They want to be successful sure, but they also want to stay true to their artistic vibe of music. Living in the shadows of the BJM? Hardly. They have become 2 quite different bands today, with the BJM becoming more experimental

@braiiiins That's the beautiful thing about music though man, everyone's different. To some, the Dandy Warhols are musical geniuses. So long as your capable of remaining respectful in your not liking them, there's no problem. I mean lets be honest, the world famous "rock" band KISS is not talented, at all. But people love them.

doesn't matter who's riffs they are or what three chords are played, it's still kick ass rock and roll being performed. It's the real thing, as good as it gets. Bloody excellent vibe...

@Manwhore001 Yea your right, as a musician myself I try to not negatively criticize any artist who appears to at least have some feeling in their music. And to give them credit, they got popular when all of that britney spears and boy band shit was at its pinnacle, and the dandys were some of the only real musicians on the radio at that time. So they do have some talent, but they just don't quite sit well with me, and im not thoroughly impressed w/ Courtney Taylors lyrics

@RVhypertrophy, "live in the shadow of BJM" - who are you kidding mate? the DHW act cool cause they are cool and the BJM faded quite deservedly into obscurity while the DHW in 2011 still sell out major (i.e quite a few thousand capacity) venues...now remind me what on earth did BLM achieve and how on earth could they be living in their shadow - clearly you are the hilarious one

saw them last night - again they were amazing and sentiment shared by thousands other that were there
