If you can not count 10 laps to go home it's time to stop.If you have problem of distraction to get to divisions of "zero" degrees on the dial of dividing.

Us pro's knew what he was doing even before 0:01 - but the counter digits are not very visible to the audience - and no nod to the dial digits was made at the end
It might look like he was still counting the old way - to someone without a head

Wish I'd thought of that years ago, had plenty of counters laying around too....

Alternatively you could look down and see the increments of 60 degrees then line up on dividing plate.

i done that once, but i side milled the 6 flats. rotary table sat vertical on the mill table, sweep in round work piece, call it x,0 y,0, rotation is number of sides divided by 360, machined in the y axis, conventional cut on manual mill, left .005 for finish pass.
Good idea for those of us with a lot on our minds!
