ARToolKit for Vizard allows for rapid prototyping of virtual and mixed reality applications using the Vizard virtual reality software platform and ARToolworks' ARToolKit tracking.
This application by the Virtual Reality Applications Center at Iowa State University demonstrates AR-based assembly task instruction. Associated research work cites 82% error reduction when using AR supported assembly instructions versus conventional instruction.
