Featuring Norops Sagrei the world famous lounge lizard. Coloring done in Apple Color with a custom keyframed vignette for secondary grading. Primary grading was just a boost in saturation and contrast in the RED tab plugin. Editing in FCP and audio from Soundtrack Pro loops. Footage shot on RED 4k camera.

  • hey is color better than ae for color correcting

  • Yes, Color is most definitely better than AE for grading. AE is good for motion graphics but can't touch the grading features of Color.

  • Those were some awesome greens.... Great work...

  • Thank you!

  • that green looked amazing, i'm trying to get something like this myself, do you have to use plugins? or can it all be done purely through final cut pro?

  • This was done in Color mainly by adjusting saturation and contrast. The source material makes a major difference in how much you can push the footage. Since I was working with RED RAW footage it was a lot easier to boost it.

  • @trancepriest Not at all true.. Color is a noob program for introduction to grading. Load after effects up with Magic bullet Colorista, or even just play with Looks, and you'll see Apple color fall to the floor.

  • If only the rest of us could shoot in RAW...

  • @EssentalFx Adobe premiere cs5, after effects cs5 , plugin : magic bullet looks.

  • Do u know any programs kind of that for windows?

  • Great work =)

  • Very cool!!!

Do you use Final Cut Studio?

  • i wish i could afford a RED camera lol i hear they're making some sort of 'budget' handheld for us lesser mortals soon, think it's called Scarlet or something

  • Very Nice Job!
