Dark Souls - Gwyn (Final Boss)

First kill on Gwyn with: No magic, no ranged, no upgraded armor, and no parrying at level 66.

Edit: Some people don't get that this was challenging myself. You shouldn't look towards this as a guide unless you are doing something similar.
To beat this boss easily and make him one of the easiest bosses in the game simply: Parry, Wear Heavy Armor and Use a 2H, or Use Magic.

I personally did not want the game to end with a whimper.

I block. Parrying is what leads into a riposte in this game. It's using your shield's secondary skill.

@DrMadolite If you parry you can kill the boss without him ever having the chance to deal damage to you. You can also kill him within about a minute.

Yeah, he was tough for me, but I finally beat him. I couldn't time the parrys right, so I crafted a greatshield of atorias and I beat him after a couple of tries. That shield is amazing, it literally blocks every attack except dragon attacks.

@videogamejo hes easy as hell, all i did was stay at the back of him and used my pyrohand. the only fight i found challenging was Ornstein and smough, and thats only cos i tried soloing them

@videogamejo no the trick with four kings is to just straight up tank him. Equip full havels set, two hand your strongest weapon and when you rush up to one of the kings, activate iron flesh. Than unload your full stamina bar onto him than switch to pyro to land a combustion or something than switch back when the stamina bars full

thats what i did, didn't have to heal not once
