Bringing Facebook to Any Website Facebook® Expands its Social Platform across the Web Through General Availability of Facebook Connect [04-Dec-2008] Facebook unveiled the widespread availability of Facebook Connect, a service that makes it easier for Facebook's 130 million users to take their profile information, friend connections and privacy with them all over the Web. Many websites have already implemented Facebook Connect, including Citysearch (www.citysearch.com), Howcast (www.howcast.com) and Techcrunch (www.techcrunch.com). In coming weeks, more than 100 websites are expected to add the Facebook Connect service to their homepages. Now people don't have to create separate accounts for every website. They can use their Facebook login wherever Connect is available.
